DLSU score first win against Defending Champs FEU


The De La Salle Green Archers are the heavy favorites in winning the UAAP title this season. For the reigning champions FEU however, pressure will factor their chances of retaining their crown. First order of business for the Tamaraws: rack up W's and stay on top of the mountain. Of course, Archers may have a bunch of rookies in their roster but they still have Jeron Teng.

LeBron James' "Battle The Doubt" Manila Tour scheduled on September 8 cancelled


Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James won't be making his return to Manila this week after all. The scheduled "Battle The Doubt" Asia Tour has been cancelled by Nike. The Swoosh brand issued a rather short statement to the media regarding the event's abrupt cancellation.

Ateneo earn hard-fought W against feisty UST


Ateneo's new era is already in full swing. Under new Coach Tab Baldwin, expectations are definitely high for the Blue Eagles this season. Their first assignment: host school University of Santo Tomas. The UAAP Season 78 Finalists are no pushovers either. Both teams were looking start off their UAAP season on a good note.

Adamson soars high in UAAP Season 79 opener against UP


UAAP basketball is indeed back! The Adamson University Soaring Falcons were all business as they opened UAAP season 79 with a huge win against the UP Fighting Maroons. Rookie Jerrick Ahanmisi (younger brother of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters Point Guard Maverick Ahanmisi in the PBA) was literally lit as he dropped 28 points (made 6/7 from 3-point territory) in his UAAP debut for the Falcons.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, April 19, 2016 – Norris Cole of the New Orleans Pelicans and WNBA Champion Taj McWilliams-Franklin will travel to Manila to participate in the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 National Training Camp.  Cole and McWilliams-Franklin will help coach participants from around the country vying to be named 2016 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA All-Stars.  The National Training Camp will be held at the Don Bosco Technical Institute April 22-23 and at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on April 24.

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska continues its search for skillful ballers aged 10-14 in Cebu on March 5-6 at Don Bosco Technology Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the third Regional Selection Camp (RSC) of the NBA’s youth development program this year.

Young cagers gathered and showcased their skills on the hardcourt as Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska went to Ateneo de Davao University, Matina campus on February 27-28 for the fourth staging of the Regional Selection Camp in Mindanao.  Seven boys and four girls were selected from 543 kids who participated in this year’s program.
