WWE Live 2016 Manila Update: Sasha Banks still in the lineup; Triple-threat match for Universal Championship

With WWE Live 2016 Manila happening in just a few days, there were some slight changes -- as expected -- in the lineup for the upcoming event. Finn Balor is no longer in the card due to a serious shoulder injury he suffered during his match with Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship (which he won) at Summerslam last month.

Despite being crowned the inaugural Universal Champion, Balor had to relinquish his title due to the said injury last month on Monday Night Raw, inevitably was officially written off on TV. Hence, missing his scheduled trip to Manila this weekend. A Fatal Four way Elimination Match was scheduled on Raw for the vacated Universal Title. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Big Cass and Kevin Owens were the competitors for that match. Raw ended with Owens victorious and crowned the new WWE Universal Champion. On that note, Kevin Owens will defend his title in a Triple-Threat match against Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn(!) in Manila this weekend.

Meanwhile, "The Legit Boss" Sasha Banks will still be flying to Manila for her match with Charlotte for the WWE Women's Championship. Banks, who lost her title to Charlotte at Summerslam, was initially pulled from all live events due to her ailing back injury. She's been performing in the ring hurt for quite a while but recently, she announced that her injury won't require surgery after all.

Filipino Fans of Sasha Banks can now breathe a sigh of relief as she's already cleared and will be in action this weekend.
