Team Rise’s final match against Elite Varsity Players concludes Nike Rise Program

Nike Rise concluded its 6-week program with a final match held Sunday, August 23 at the House of Rise in Mandaluyong City.
The 12 Rise kids and two reserves played against a team of elite players from the UAAP, NCAA and Discovery Perlas Pilipinas.

The Rise players were :

– #3 ROLAND PATRIC “Soy” VINASOY
– #7 KRISTINE ‘Tintin” CAYABYAB
– #11 NELSON “Pogi” DE OCERA
– #13 DEAN “The Dean” FUDOTAN

– #17 JUDE LUKE BULAN
– #18 MICHAEL ANGELO “Mico” PINGOL
– #22 NORMAN “MadMax” TORBELLES

A special announcement was also made to identify the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Rise program. Algin Andaya from Navotas was named MVP and, on top of the award, was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try out for the Gilas Pilipinas U-20 national training pool.
